REPUBLIC-FORD JB2 (V1) STUDY (updated 6th Oct 2025)

The Republic-Ford JB-2, also known as the Thunderbug, KGW and LTV-N-2 Loon, was an American copy of the German V-1 flying bomb. This 3D CAD study is the result of many months of intensive work and research, primarily derived from original blueprints, with additional data from manuals, reports, correspondence, and images.

The project’s challenge was interpreting crucial information from poor-quality blueprints, which required intensive research to create an accurate replica of the aircraft.

This CAD model is a detailed study featuring original bolts and nuts made to their original specifications.

The Republic JB2 dataset CAD models will be available in DWG, STP, and Parasolid X-B formats, accompanied by an Excel spreadsheet containing ordinate data, along with copies of the manuals, primarily for the V1.
